Pennsylvania Maple Festival
120 Meyers Avenue, Meyersdale
814-634-0213
The Pennsylvania Maple Festival was established in 1948 by a group of civic-minded Meyersdale individuals to promote the area's maple industry. Guests to the Festival view and participate in steps of the maple sugaring process, from tapping trees to partaking in a pancake and sausage dinner served with pure Somerset County maple syrup. There are also many other attractions for the people who attend the two-weekend festival every spring: tours of the historic Meyers Homestead, Meyersdale's oldest residence; local arts and crafts; classic automobile shows; agricultural fair exhibits; the ever-popular quilt show and the "Legend of the Magic Water" Historical Pageant, presented by a group of talented community volunteers.
